“ At Island Pilates, you can do your rehabilitation – or work on preventing concerns in your body…. Our classes are a personalized, guided form of Pilates designed to support injury recovery, manage chronic conditions, and improve functional movement. This is ideal for clients seeking a safe, evidence-based approach to exercise.

Our classes are Therapeutic and tailored: Unlike general Pilates, Clinical Pilates is prescribed and supervised by DIPLOMA qualified, and comprehensively trained, experienced teachers.

You would begin with a one-on-one assessment to identify injuries, postural issues, or movement dysfunctions. This informs a customized exercise program.

Evidence-based: Exercises are chosen based on clinical reasoning and current best practices in rehabilitation and movement science.

Class Structure & Format

Small group or private sessions: Typically limited to 2-6 participants to ensure close supervision and individual attention.

Equipment variety: Uses Reformer machines, trapeze tables (Cadillac); Wunda Chair, Barrels, mats, and other props to support and challenge the body.

Progressive programming: Exercises are adjusted over time as the client improves, with a focus on core stability, posture, flexibility, and strength.
